The Walker Art Center  Three Poster Systems project combined sound into visuals, creating it into a modern and immersive promotional 3 series poster for the 100 Years of Sound and Image event. Using audio as inspiration, the design process began with expressive experimentation before refining the visuals to connect with the target audience. The designs created for the sound were then transformed into only WAC relations but with the template given with sound. The final system featured three unique yet cohesive poster designs, each incorporating the Walker Art Center subtly in the background whether as a blueprint, satellite view, or roadside perspective. Hidden details, such as the letters W, A, C and embedded phrases within the street imagery was a way to reward viewers who looked closely and examined. Through multiple refinements, the project successfully balanced abstraction, hierarchy, and event messaging, creating a visually engaging experience for both casual viewers and deep observers at the Walker.
